SUMMER MONTHS (Score & Parts) [PDF]

$26.00

SUMMER MONTHS is for keyboard duo (marimba & vibraphone) and playback. Using rhythm as compositional focal point, the work mainly deals with the interplay between rhythmic consonance and rhythmic dissonance across all three parts of the ensemble (player 1, player 2, playback).

While the performer has opportunities to stand above the tape, most of the performers sound creation should seep into the texture, becoming a part of the playback itself. To do this, each player is encouraged to use a mallet that is able to achieve a wide range of colors.

Purchasing this work includes:

  • Full score and parts

  • Audio files for performer and audience
